1 Mile 1 Veteran

Our Commitment

Why We Are Not a Non-Profit

The urgent need to address the challenges faced by veterans dealing with PTSD, depression, anxiety, and other mental health issues leaves no room for hesitations or red tape. That’s why we made the bold decision to sell our own home to fund the launch of 1 Mile 1 Veteran. There were several reasons that went into the decision not to become a non-profit organization. At 1 Mile 1 Veteran, we felt the need to:

be Inclusive for All

Our goal is clear – to create a platform that empowers all veterans, regardless of their discharge status or when they served, as well as helping their family, friends, and supporters.

remove Barriers

Non-profits often come with restrictive funding. By maintaining independence and flexibility, we can respond swiftly in times of crisis and provide immediate support within our community.

Fundraise For Others

This work requires collaboration and unity among everyone involved. Part of our mission is raising funds for established non-profits who share similar values and aims.

Our Non-Profit Partner

1 Mile 1 Veteran is honored to be raising funds for our amazing non-profit partner, Objective Zero Foundation. Objective Zero connects the military and community to mental health and wellness resources and to a network of peer and civilian support Pathfinders to prevent suicide through the Objective Zero App. Please support our shared mission to prevent veteran suicide by donating to Objective Zero.
